Weakening of Pound Induces an Increase in Price of Electrical Appliances

Despite the fall in the value of pound in the recession market the cost of survival is still projected at a higher position. It is revealed by the price comparison site PriceRunner.co.uk through its study which was then published on the Daily Telegraph. In the last few decades, everybody noticed that the prices of various electronics goods had been falling at a great pace. The main reason for this rapid downturn in prices is that manufacturers were pushed by the advanced technology to make smaller, faster and highly standard goods.

Another study on 111 various electrical appliances brought to light that almost half of these products underwent a massive increase in cost or the price tags of these goods remained stationary. Besides, it was also figured out that apart from these 50 electrical goods 36 of them have faced a great fall in price and the rest 25 did not show any kind of change in their price labels. Buying essential home gadgets like TVs, Fridges, cameras and washing machines now would not be much comfortable for people who have a tough budget.

Looking at the present scenario of electronic market Peter Carlsson, general manager of PriceRunner.co.uk stated that it seems unbelievable to hear the sudden hike in consumer electronics as for years folks have been used to gadgets which are portable, cheaper and great saver of electricity bills.
